The masts must be assembled separately, taking care of their perfect align-
ment. The position of the caps ano of the connection collars of the booms
are indicated on the drawing. After the assembly, the masts have to be glued
in the special holes on the deck and must be kept in position by means of
provisional bindings knotted to the ends of the masts and to the channels
(take care of the correct inclination towards the pooo); of course yards,
booms ano gaffs shall not be glued.
13) Prepare the masts according to the form and to the sizes indicated on
the table 4. Glue on the mast 501 the cans 510, the collar 511, the cap 512,
then mount the part 502, with the collar 513, into the caps 510 ano 512,
glue the parts 514. Make the connection 515 from brass wire 0 1mm. and Link
it to the cap 512 (fig. 1). Paint matt white the upper part of the mast as
indicated on the drawing. Introduce on the mast, without glueing, the 12
rings 516, glue the ring 517 supporting the boom and the belaying pin-rack
518. Introduce the bush 513, glue the complete mast on the hull taking care
that the bush is well in contact with the deck (fig. 2); paint white the
part of the mast between the ring 517 and the deck. In the same way glue on
the mast 503 the collars 520, 521 and 522, bore and glue the little ring
523, mount the belaying pin-rack 518, the mast-foot 519, paint like the
main-mast and glue onto the hull (figs. 2-3).
14) Glue on the bowsprit end 504 the collar 524, the cap 525 and link it to
the part 526 (fig. 4), paint white the part of the bowsprit with square sec-
tion and black the part with round section. Adjust the prow sector of the
planking and of the handrail so that the bowsprit fits exactly; assemble the
bowsprit on the hull glueing the back end in the square opening of the cap-
stan and the central part leaning on the ram of the keel and on the plan-
king of the bulwark (fig. 5).
15) Glue in the milling on the boom 505the joint 527 (fig. 6), glue the col-
lars528, 529 and 530, bore and glue the little ring 531 (fig. 6), paint
white comoletely.
16) Glue on the gaff 506 the collars 532-533 and the part 534, bore and glue
the little rings535, paint white completely. Prepare in the same way the
gaff 507 glueing the elements 536, 537 and 535. Mount on the jib-boom 508
(not painted) the collar 538, introduce the ooom into the cap 525 ano fasten
the back end to the windlass 70 (fig. 5).
17) Glue and tie on the deck and on the masts all the blocks, the cleats
and the little rings as indicated on the drawing. All the bindings must be
glueo with dilute vinavil. In order to fix the rings with shaft, bore with
a 0,7 mm. drill where it is requested, bend the shaft of the little ring,
glue and press in the nole (fig. 7). The different types of binding are .il-
lustrated on fig. 8, 9 and 10. All the collars have generally 4 connections:
cut off with a pair of pincers those which are not useful. Complete assem-
bling all the little rings 541 on the hull sides ano the connection 542 on
the prow.
On the following table: Prepare the ooom 509 of the jib assembling the rings
540 and the collar 539, oaint white.
Rigging
The rigging is set according to the numerical oroer. It must be strained
but must absolutely not force on the masts, the knots have to be glued. Oo
not try to operate the running rigging: it is advisable to fix the ropes
with a droo of glue to the blocks or to the belaying pins in the right posi-
tion. The shrouds 600... etc. are set in couoles, alternatively on the rignt
and on the left of the mast, they pass through the cross-trees and end with
the dead-eyes. The course of the rigging is represented with numbers and
symbols indicating the rigging, the starting point, the various passages
and the end point. The letter 0 near the number of the described rigging,
means that this is double, that is one on port and one on starboard. The
esample: 604 0 = 603+72+603+72+603+72+602 (fig. 11) means that the rigging

Ricalcaresullatela la traccia delle vele cuciturecomprese, PRIMADI RITAGLIARLE eseguire le cuciture
seguendo il contorno etutte le tracce. Cucire e incollare lungo il bordo un cordino da 0.80; montare sulle
vele 677+692+702 gli occhielli 676; praticare dei piccoli fori nella posizione indicata sulle vele, infilare
gli occhielli e ribadirli leggermente con una punta conica appoggiata nel foro dell'occhiello, dalla parte
oppostaallaflangia. Incollare i gerli sullefascedelle vele677+692+702, questisonodei pezzettidi corda
da 0.25 passanti attraverso la vela e incollati al centra
Tutte le vele devono essere bianche.

Preparation and setting of the sails.
Transfer the trace of the sails, including the seams, to the cloth. BEFORE CUTTING THEM, make the
seams following the contour and all the other traces. Sew and glue along the edge a 0.80 rope; assemble
the eyelets 676 on the sails 677-692-702: make some small holes in the position indicated on the sails,
introduce the eyelets and slightly rivet them leaning a conical head through the hole of the eyelet, from
the opposite side of the flange. Glue some pieces of rope 0,25 on the bands of the sails 677, 692 and
702, they pass through the sails and are glued in the middle.
All the sails must be white.

Preparation et montage des voiles
Transferer sur la table la trace des voiles, у compris les coutures. AVANT DE LES COUPER, executer
les coutures en suivant le contour et toutes les traces.
Coudre et coller le long du bord une ficelle, 0,80; monter sur les voiles 677, 692 et 702 les oeillets 676:
pratiquer de petits trous dans la position indiqueesurles voiles, enfiler lesoeillets et les river legerement
avec une pointe conique appuyee dans le trou de I’oeillet, de la partie opposee a la bride. Coller les
garcettes sur les bandes des voiles 677, 692, 702; II s'agit de pieces de corde 0,25 passant a travers la
voile ed collees au milieu.
Toutes les voiles doivent etre blanches.

Den Umriss der Segel und die Zeichen pausen, sie auf die Leinwand ubertragen. BEVOR MAN SIE
AUSSCHNEIDET, nach den Zeichen der Umrisse nahen. Nahen und, urn den Umriss, einem Bindfaden
0,80 kaleben; auf'die Segel 677, 692, 702 die Osen 676 legen: in der auf den Segeln bestimmten Lage
kieine Locher machen, die Osen einstecken und sie mit einem in Loch der Ose gelegten Stiff, in
entgegengesetzter Seite der Flansche, leicht nieten. Auf die Streifen der Segel 677, 692, 702 Seilstucke
0,25 kleben, die durch die Segel laufen und werden in der Mitte eingeklebt.
Alle Segel bleiben weiss.
